Watched Hooks perform with his band. He is the embodiment of Month 1 of 30/30, developing an awesome identity doing what he loves and getting chicks that way, rather than just learning skills.

Went to a bar with a buddy. Warmed up a little chatting with some chicks. Just being social. Finally did one approach with a redhead by herself at the bar. Turns out she doesn't speak English well. Instant attraction, we're making out within a minute. I ask if she has a cigarette, we smoke outside. I try to take her for a walk but she says she can't, her card is inside. So we go inside for a drink. Once inside she orders a drink but pulls out a card to pay! I catch her, she says she forgot she already took it back. Lame. We make out some more, she's escalating me but I slow her down. I try to pull her into the bathroom but she doesn't come. Things subtly fall apart here, in retrospect. She starts flirting with other guys while I keep an eye on her like a hawk, thinking I'll take her home since she came alone and she just wants one drink. Last call, she finishes her drink, I pull her out. I pull her to my place but it's like 10 blocks and by block #2 she's revising to walk, saying she is going home. I try a few more times but it's obvious I am now the chaser. I grab her number anyway, knowing the power has transferred. Oh well. Still got some nice makeouts and some titty action. Who knows, maybe this could work out.

Lessons learned:
- once again, don't give them validation, give them cock! In this case the validation was from making out with me. She was pretty persistent and I like kissing. What can I say.
- when a girl wants to escalate fast, slow her down. Make her earn it.
