How to Win Friends and Influence People recommends reviewing each week, keeping track of what I've done right, what I could have done better, etc. It's probably a good idea for my personal identity development as well. Here we go:
Social:
I criticized one of the new mansion guys's game behind his back. I should have focused on his positive qualities instead of the negative.
I gave a genuine compliment to my rotation chick.
My dad called and was doing his usual lecturing. I held back criticism and praised when I could.
Went to a Toastmasters meeting.
Haven't been approaching chicks much. Haven't been on 30/30 much. Busy with everything else.
Health:
I got tested for a whole battery of STDs. So far so good. Physical and dental checkups in the works.
I've been eating healthier still. Even at the Superbowl party I ate minimal junk food, sticking to guacamole and fruit mostly.
Most days I exercise at least once, whether it's hiking 11 miles or doing yoga.
Today I read up on the correct way to do sun salutations and practiced a few times. It's more intense and effective than how I've been doing it for months.
Haven't meditated much recently. I had two really long meditative walks, and a 15 minute session today as I was trying to relieve a dehydration headache, but ideally I would meditate daily.
Identity:
Continuing my bass lessons, but other stuff in my life have cut into my practice. Momentum has slowed. I should practice daily at least. I've been doing a lot of ear training, though progress has been slow.
I called a band for an audition but timing wasn't right.
Money:
I've been spending a lot on healthy food. I should stick to supermarkets when eating by myself.
I'm growing my own kombucha. This should save a bundle.
Misc:
Gave away a bunch of stuff on Freecycle. My room is still messy, though. Time to throw some shit out and clean.
